Pecan Grove Grand Lobby Mirror Refinish
We finished the mirror project for the grand lobby at Pecan Grove Luxury Apartments! Prior to our on site consultation, we were given a photo and some details about what the owners vision was. We met for our consultation, and to say that we were taken aback with the sheer size of these mirrors is an understatement. These bad boys were ginormous, measuring in at about 7ftx5ft!!!
The mirrors and the matching sideboards were both such statement pieces. We were able to highlight the beautiful lines of the mirrors and make them compliment instead of compete with the cool, rustic furniture. The owners loved the distressed red in the sideboards and really wanted to carry the color through to the mirrors. With the combo of Paint Couture!™ Russian Red and Van Dyke Brown Glaze, these mirrors are now the perfect match!
We used Paint Couture!™ Siberian Shale as a base coat since reds tend to be very translucent in color and often require several coats for full coverage.
After a few (ok… maybe 12+ !!!) hours of work and one late night trip to the grocery store for sundae supplies later, we are so thrilled with how gorgeous the mirrors are 🙂
